Lockpick prayers straining
In small places to prise –
Scraping the boundaries
Of secret designs

What withholden treasure
Must be kept out of reach?
An Eden beyond
even wild desire—!

Unknitting hooks
Piece apart mysteries
Impatient to prosper,
To find meaning in life.

Fearful of discovery,
desperate to know—
reaching and grabbing,
and pulling,
and blind.
